Q: What App should I get? Is there any additional fees?
A: HX WiFi Series Cameras work with CamHi App.
You can get it for free on App Store or Google Play, it's totally FREE without any additional fees.
Q: Where can I find the UID of the camera?
A: You DO NOT need to input the UID manually, please follow the manual to setup the camera. If you want to share the camera to your families and need to input the UID, the below picture shows where the UID is.
Q: How to share the camera with my families?
A: Please install CamHi on the phone you want to share the camera with, then click the 'Add Camera', then input the UID(refer to above picture) and the password of the camera, then click the '√' to connect the camera to her/his phone.
Q: This is wifi camera, why I need to connect it to router via Ethernet cable?
A: To connect the camera to your router via Ethernet cable is only for setup, after you follow the manual and setup the wifi settings, you can disconnect the Ethernet cable.
Q: What is the password of the WiFi SSID of the camera?
A: The password of the WiFi SSID from the camera that begins with 'IPCAM' is '01234567'
Q: What is the default IP address and password?
A:The camera supports DHCP and the router will assign the IP address automatically when the camera is connected to your router.
You can also setup it to fixed ip address in camera setting if you need.
The default password is ‘admin’. Please change the password in the device settings after you connect the camera to your router.
Q:Does this camera work with website interfaces?
A:Yes, it works with many browsers: Chrome, Firefox, IE, etc. We strongly suggest to access the camera via IE browser although other browsers also works.
Q: What is the port for HTTP,ONVIF,RTSP, and RTSP URLs?
A:HTTP Port: 80
ONVIF Port: 8080
RTSP Port: 554
RTSP URL: Rtsp://IPaddress:Port/11
Q:Can I manage the camera on my PC with software?
A:Certainly! Use our IPC Client or other third-party Onvif software, such as iSPY or Blue Iris &Onvif Device Manager.

Q: What should I do if I can't find the WiFi hotspot from the camera that begins with 'IPCAM' in my phone's WiFi setting?
A:Reset the camera if this issue appears by pressing the reset button for about 7 seconds, and wait for about 30 seconds, then try again.
If you still can't find the WiFi hotspot from the camera after you reset it, please connect the camera to your router or network switch with Ethernet cable(cat5, 5e or cat6), then follow the step 2 ~ step 9 to setup the camera, after you setup and save the WiFi setting, you can disconnect the Ethernet cable.
Q:What should I do if I forgot the password or my network changed?
A:Reset the camera and connect the camera to your phone again.
